Front Hood Struts - 991/981 SKU: 2X99151155100

Super easy to install. Replaced the front hood struts on my 2013 Boxster S in less than 5 minutes. Remove the clips on the old ones with a flat head screwdriver and pop on the new ones.

After getting hit in the head, from my front bonnet falling (multiple times) on my 9 yr old 911, I decided it was time to do something about it. This is the exact same OEM Porsche part I took of my 2012 911. Super easy and quick to replace.

These were easy to install - use a screwdriver to pop open the hinges of your existing struts so they slip off, then there pop right on. Very high quality and work perfectly. The difference in support between old and new struts is like night and day. So definitely worth replacing every few years as an affordable and simple DIY task.

A recent visit to my dealer resulted in my purchase of the struts. Dealer wanted $400 to replace my hood struts and a video on YouTube convinced me to purchase these OEM hood struts and install them in only 10 minutes at a savings of $300. Thank you SunCoast!
